Angkor Wat is Cambodia’s largest and most iconic temple complex, renowned worldwide for its vast scale, intricate bas-reliefs along the galleries, and its striking tower silhouettes—especially at sunrise. Because the site is extensive, allow at least half a day; visiting more than once at different times of day can improve the experience. Prepare for heat and follow dress rules that require covered shoulders and knees.
