Areopagus (Mars Hill)

Regional Unit of Central Athens

attraction

Areopagus (Άρειος Πάγος), a rocky hill northwest of the Acropolis, is historically associated with ancient councils and courts and is now a popular viewpoint for Acropolis panoramas. The rock surface can be slippery, so wear shoes with good grip and be especially careful in rain or after dark.
