Basaltic Prisms are dramatic columnar rock formations in Hidalgo, created by the cooling of volcanic rock into geometric shapes. With waterfalls flowing over the tall stone columns and scenic paths around the area, they are one of central Mexico’s most distinctive geological attractions.
