Pha Taem Cliff

Pha Them Cliff is a high-altitude observation spot on the limestone cliffs that rise along the Mekong River in Ubon Ratchathani, and is known as one of Thailand's most famous sunrise spots. Prehistoric murals dating back more than 3,000 years have been discovered on the cliff walls, revealing traces of ancient life and rituals. In the early morning, the surface of the Mekong River reflects the morning sun, and the gradations of mist and sky create a fantastical landscape. Combining the three elements of nature, history, and faith, it is a popular spot for photography and geographical observation.
