Koh Lanta Community Museum

This community museum conveys the history and lifestyle of Koh Lanta. Simple exhibits introduce the island's identity, including fishing, maritime trade, ethnic integration, Islam and maritime beliefs, and life in traditional houses. Photographs, old tools, ship equipment, textiles, household goods, and materials on ritual culture are on display, giving it the feel of a "life archive" rather than a tourist museum. Memories of the sea breeze, wood, spices, and tides form the backdrop for this museum, allowing visitors to experience the multicultural coexistence and lifestyle of southern Thailand from the islanders' perspective.
