Doi Inthanon is Thailand's highest peak (2,565m above sea level) and the center of a national park known as the "Roof of Thailand." With a cool mountain climate year-round, the clear air and cloud forests offer a diverse ecosystem, including rare alpine plants, over 380 species of wild birds, butterflies, moss, and ferns. Near the summit stands the towering Napamethanidon/Napaphanphumisiri, a stupa honoring the King and Queen of Thailand. It's also famous for its sunrises and sea of ​​clouds. The park is dotted with impressive waterfalls, including Wachirathan, Mae Klang, and Sri Phum. The Royal Agricultural Research Station, a royal project, offers flower fields and temperate fruit cultivation. Experience hill tribe culture, including coffee and handwoven textiles, in Karen and Hmong villages. Access is generally by car, but be careful as there are many curves. It's chilly in the mornings and evenings, so dress warmly.
