Nan Province
Located in the high mountains of Nan Province, the Bo Kluea Ancient Salt Well is a natural salt spring with a history of over 1,000 years, and was also an important trading resource in ancient times. The traditional method of boiling salt in a geothermal cauldron continues to this day, and you can observe the entire process, from the steaming salt pans, to the crystallization process, drying, and bagging. The cool mornings and evenings make for a photogenic contrast between the white steam and the green of the forest. It's a popular spot that complements history, nature, and food culture.
