Sao Chaliang (Stone Pillars) is a natural group of stone pillars created by wind, rain, and erosion over many years on the bedrock along the Mekong River. The rows of strangely shaped mushroom and pillar-like rocks, with the shadows of the setting sun adding to their three-dimensional appearance, make for great photos. Not only can they be observed as natural geological art, but they also help you understand the topographical structure when combined with the surrounding cliffs. It's a popular detour spot that combines a sense of adventure with photogenic appeal.
