Wat Khao Phanom Phloeng

This local temple spot is located on a hill in Sukhothai Province. As its name Phanom Phloeng ("Fire Mountain") suggests, the bird's-eye view from the hilltop harmonizes with Buddhist symbols. It is not a large-scale tourist temple, but rather a place to stop by and enjoy the tranquility and shadows of the materials. In the early morning, there is a light mist and cool breeze, in the afternoon sunlight filtering through the trees, and in the evening the mountain shadows and the temple silhouette make for photogenic spots.
