Rani ki Vav is an elaborately decorated 11th-century stepwell in Patan, built as a memorial to a Solanki ruler. Designed like an inverted temple descending toward the water, its multiple levels contain hundreds of finely carved sculptures depicting Hindu deities, celestial figures, and mythological scenes.
