Rani ki Vav is an elaborately decorated 11th-century stepwell in Patan, built in memory of a ruler of the Solanki dynasty. Designed like an inverted temple descending toward the water, its multiple levels are adorned with hundreds of detailed sculptures depicting Hindu deities, celestial figures, and mythological scenes.
