Jingkieng Nongriat Living Root Bridge is a naturally formed pedestrian bridge in Meghalaya, created by training the living aerial roots of rubber fig trees across a stream. Reached by a demanding trek through forested hills and villages, it reflects the Khasi people’s traditional knowledge of building durable structures in harmony with the environment.
