The Shore Temple Complex at Mahabalipuram is an early 8th-century group of stone temples built under the Pallava dynasty beside the Bay of Bengal. Dedicated primarily to Shiva, its weathered towers and coastal setting make it one of southern India’s most iconic ancient monuments and a key part of the UNESCO-listed monuments of Mahabalipuram.
